Panasonic DMR-BW750 Blu-ray Recorder
The good: This machine let's you record subtitles (closed captions) on hard drive as well as Blu-ray discs! It is a second generation recorder, so no need to fear teething problems.
The bad: Pricey, the closed captions can only be recorded on hard drive and Blu-ray, not on DVD.
The bottom line: An absolutely fantastic machine. It has 2 HD tuners, so you can record two programs, while watching a previous recording. It records on HDD, Blu-ray discs and all DVD's you can think off, including DVD RAM! It is really user friendly.
